Named after the region where it was harvested, “Pu-erh”. This tea is from a broad-leaved variety of tea that is supposedly a very ancient strain. The flavour of Pu-erh is often under-appreciated, because it actually gets better with age. The older the tea the more it will cost, think of it as you would a fine wine. (black tea)
This fermented (black tea) Pu-erh is compressed using ancient tree tea leaves harvested from the surrounds of our favourite village in the Yi Wu Mountain and processed in the village. Handpicked, heap fermented then dried, hand sorted and pressed using the traditional stone press. 3.5 years
